Most toothbrush bristles are made of nylon or nylon-polyester. That’s it! It’s pretty much the same material DuPont first used in 1938. In a way that’s fine, because nylon and polyester are actually a pretty good options, but it’s 2015 and there sure needs to be a way to improve the bristles' material.

 

Indeed, technology has advanced enough to allow us to add something really fancy, or in this case – two really fancy (but important) elements to the Nano-b bristles, charcoal and gold. Bacteria hate us for this, but your teeth will love us. 

 

ANTIBACTERIAL GOLD TOOTHBRUSH

 

Pretty much all toothbrushes are covered with millions of bacteria. Mythbusters have found it, studies  have found it, it’s a fact. It’s really weird nothing was done about this for so long, when this concerns something we put in our mouths twice a day, every day.

 

This is not only gross, but can also have dangerous long-term health consequences. Luckily, there is something to be done about that, and we did it. The solution was simple - we made our brushes antibacterial.

 

Well, it wasn't really "simple", because it involved some advanced nano-science. We had to use nano-science to break down charcoal and gold into nano-sized particles and mix them into the bristles. As a result, half of Nano-b Charcoal and Gold bristles are impregnated with genuine gold nano-particles. Once on your toothbrush, gold works its magic.

 

These gold particles release negatively charged ions that penetrate bacterial cells, suppressing the cell’s respiration and metabolism.This is bad news for bacteria, but good news for your health. By terminating bacteria on your brush, you avoid brushing with common bathroom nastiness like e.coli and salmonella. You finally get to brush with a clean and hygienic toothbrush, which makes perfect sense for a tool that’s in effect your personal dental instrument.

What bristles are made of is important, but it’s equally important what their shape and size is. To clean your teeth perfectly you really only need two types of bristles and this is the way we make Nano-b.

 

First, you need long, fine bristles that can enter and clean hard-to-reach places like between your teeth and under the gumline. Our ultra-slim bristles do exactly that, while also gently pushing the gums upwards to remove bacteria where it gets trapped, preventing common plaque buildup.

 

Second, the short, oval bristles polish the big surface area of the teeth, where most of the plaque forms. The clean is gentle, yet squeaky-clean and you’ll feel the difference after the very first brushing.
